Ammonia leak led to hazmat situation at Lang Ice Company on SW side: CFD CHICAGO -- Chicago fire responded to a level 2 hazmat situation of an ammonia leak at Lang Ice Company on the city's Southwest Side Thursday morning. The shelter in place has been lifted and the reported leak stopped. CFD reported an ammonia leak near the 3600 block of West 59th Street at Lang Ice Company. Crews attempted to enter to shut down the valve. Streets and sewers were flooded by opening several hydrants to help dispel the ammonia. There were no reported injures and neighbors were asked to stay inside. Air quality is now good and CFD reports all clear.

One in hospital after Oak Park building fire OAK PARK, Ill. — One person is in the hospital after a building caught fire in Oak Park early Wednesday evening.According to Oak Park Village officials, the Oak Park Fire and Police Departments were called to the 200 block of South Maple Avenue on reports of a fire with collapsed wall sections at a multi-level, multi-unit building.“I started hearing people say call 911, glass, I thought it was maybe a car accident," said Ethan Colchamiro, who lives in the building. Several homes destroyed in Blum Fire in Hill County Hill County (FOX 44/KWKT) -- The Texas A&M Forest Service says a fire in Hill County has destroyed at least five home and charred at least 250 acres. It is being called the Blum Fire because of its proximity to the city.FM 933 south of Blum to FM 1153 is closed because of the fire. As of 10 p.m. Wednesday evening, the fire is 0% contained.Along with the five structures destroyed, firefighters say the flames are threatening 25 more. There are no evacuations in place at this time.People living north of White Rock Creek are being told to take precautions. Firefighters say that people who do leave the area should pack up important papers, personal items, and prescriptions they may need for 24-48 hours.The Texas A&M Forest Service is working alongside the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System, Texas Division of Emergency Management, as well as resources from multiple counties. The emphasis is on structure protection with dozers, engines, and aircraft.

(NEWS10) -- An Albany couple was arrested on Sunday for living in someone else's Cobleskill home without permission for roughly a week, according to New York State Police. On Sunday, around 6:31 p.m., troopers responded to a home on State Route 7 in Cobleskill for reports of a trespass. Police say an investigation found Johnson and Lanauze had been living in the unoccupied house without permission from the owner for approximately a week. LOUIS - Investigators with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying and locating a man suspected of a child sex crime in a south city neighborhood.According to Sgt. Charles Wall, a police spokesman, the crime occurred July 23 in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood. Police did not provide a more specific hundred block.
