Bills’ Allen lists lingering issues from last season as reasons for Diggs skipping practice

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Bills quarterback Josh Allen declined to push the panic button while explaining how unresolved issues stemming from last season led receiver Stefon Diggs to show his displeasure by skipping the team’s start of mandatory practices on Tuesday.Without going into full detail into what exactly is eating at Diggs, Allen listed getting the team’s top receiving threat more involved in the offense and having more game-planning input as among the player’s concerns. The quarterback then placed the onus on himself to do better in what will be an ongoing attempt to get Diggs back in the fold — and the sooner the better for the Bills.“This does not work what we’re doing here without him,” Allen said following practice.“I’ve got his back no matter what and I’ve got no doubt that we will figure out what’s going on. I love him. I can’t stress that enough,” he added, emphasizing his love for Diggs by using a profanity. “I think that there are some things that could have gone...

DETROIT (AP) — For much of the spring, finding an NBA coaching job was the last thing Monty Williams cared about. After being fired by the Phoenix Suns following their elimination from the postseason, Williams had talked to a few teams when his family got some upsetting news — his wife, Lisa, was diagnosed with breast cancer.Williams was introduced Tuesday as the new coach of the Detroit Pistons, and he discussed his wife’s health in an attempt to help others.“The reason that I bring it up is to not talk about my family, but to make it more of an emphasis that women need early detection testing.

PLATTEVILLE, Colo. (KDVR) — Colorado has been getting a lot of rain lately, and like most people say, “We need the moisture.” But according to a Weld County farmer, too much of a good thing is not good.Joe Miller, of Miller Farms, has been working the soil here all of his life. The 60-year-old will be the first to tell you all this H2O has had an impact on his farm. And it is not all good. "It needs sun. It's kind of like gas in your car. If you don’t put gas in, it doesn’t go. You don’t put sun in the crops, they don’t grow," Miller said.In any given year, Miller Farms will grow squash, peppers, onions, cantaloupe and sweet corn. This year, Miller said all this water has altered operations.
