AUSTIN (KXAN) — An Austin man faces three separate charges after police said he kidnapped a woman on March 5 in east Austin, according to Travis County court documents.According to records, Little Abe Hill, 40, faces felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping and the unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.An APD report said on March 5, at approximately 3:30 a.m. dispatch received a call to the intersection of East 14th Street and Comal Street saying a man in a black sedan abducted a woman at gunpoint and left the scene in the vehicle.The caller said he was in downtown with the woman, and after a night of drinking, they attempted to hail a rideshare. The report claimed a black sedan driven by Hill pulled up to the victims, and believing the vehicle to be a rideshare, they both sat in the backseat. HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man who was employed as a Wells Fargo bank manager in Harlingen was sentenced for his role in a nearly two-year-long money laundering scheme, court records indicate. Stephen Roland Reyna was sentenced Wednesday to 20 months in prison on a charge of conspiracy to launder monetary instruments, federal records show.An indictment charges Reyna and co-conspirator David Mares with participating in the laundering scheme from August 2016 to April 2018. According to the indictment, Mares was a "participant in a narcotics smuggling organization," and would ship multiple pounds of cocaine from Texas to other states. There are already bills filed in the Legislature that would give Texas teachers and school staff across-the-board raises and increase state funding for public schools. WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Watervliet man was arrested for allegedly possessing a gun as a two-time convicted felon, according to Watervliet Police. Gregory Moore, 41, was arrested on March 2. Police say they found a loaded, illegally possessed, .45 caliber handgun and high-capacity magazine in the house. The shooting happened just before 9:20 p.m. at the Casey's on Market Street in Hermann, Missouri. Officers have since surrounded a home where the suspect may be located.Detective Sgt. HERMANN, Mo. - The Missouri State Highway Patrol say Kenneth Simpson ,35,shot two Hermann police officers Sunday night. One of those officers, Detective Sgt. Mason Griffith, has died. Police are still looking for the suspect. He may be in a Hermann, Missouri home.
